Job purpose
As a Warehouse Dock Coordinator, one will be responsible for items related to managing the Warehouse dock and checking in drivers. This includes order/load verification, keeping track of open/full doors, assigning doors, contacting drivers, printing BOL’s and packing slips, communicating with CSRs, answering phone calls, responding to email, entering inbound/outbound data into Customer’s ERP System, removing glad lock from airline, ensuring seal is applied to the trailer and other assignments as requested.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Manage and check-in drivers efficiently and effectively
- Obtain and maintain necessary records and track items such as inbounds, outbounds, BOLs, packing slips, schedules and orders
- Perform data entry into Customer’s ERP System
- Daily communication via telephone calls and emails to internal departments
- Prioritize and multi-task client requests on a daily basis
- Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints
- Respond in a prompt and courteous manner to client requests
- Manage yard and door traffic
- Update arrival and departure times in Vision schedule
- Secure trailers (inbounds/outbounds)
- Remove glad lock from airline
- Ensure the seal is applied to the trailer
- Manage shipped paperwork and prepare for shipment to HQ
- Follow all safety procedures and SOPs
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Customer service experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Problem analysis and problem-solving
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Initiative
- Basic PC skills and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, independently and with team
Safety Requirements
- Must wear safety boots/shoes.
- Must wear safety vest.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
